Spring Time Favorites

Today I decided to take a seat at The Circle, which is a monthly blogger hangout hosted by the amazing Kiki at In Its Time. And we will be getting together to talk about something that is currently very highly anticipated...SPRING!
So here's to springtime, to making new friends, and joining in The Circle!

What is spring like where you live?
Ha ha what is spring.  Seriously this year has been crazy cold and there is still snow in the ground.  The temps in our 10 day forecast are not looking promising right now either.  Nothing above forty.  Sooner or later it will thaw out and spring will bring a muddy mess. Wisconsin Spring equals muddy mess.

What's your favorite springtime accessory?
Anything bright and cheery to help shake off the winter blah's.  And if I get really, really lucky...flippie floppies.

Do you have any springtime traditions?
Aside from Easter, nope sorry not really anything.  Unless opening windows blowing out the winters dust and then going for walks outside count.

What is your favorite spring treat?
Holler....can you say Easter Candy.  Cadbury creme eggs, mini eggs, peeps.  Bring me some candy, please.

Favorite spring holiday?
Guess I would go with Easter here.  Of course, Cinco de Mayo is in spring and I like me some mexican food. Num Num.  Ok let's just go with anything that revolves around food.  I run for a reason people.

What's your favorite thing to do in the spring?
Walk outside, enjoy the sunshine and smell of worms dethawing.

Find and capture a sign of spring and tell us about the photo(s)!

Sad to say this is the first day of spring in Wisconsin.   There is still snow on the ground.  I am thankful there are portions of grass coming thru, we can see the fire pit and the birds seem to be appearing more everyday.  One more month and hopefull my tulips will be peeking thru. We are getting close!!

Happy first day of Spring lovelies!

  1. Spring is definitely iffy in the PNW, too. There are definitely some nice days, but there are definitely streaks of rain and grey skies. I hope you get some warmer weather soon!

And I completely agree with you on food and holidays--or just food in general. :) How can you not celebrate without good food?

    Thanks for linking up! :)
