Check out my Town

Who doesn't want to brag up their town a little bit, after all we do live there.   And Miss Jess over at Living on Sweet Tea had a great idea for link up since she loves to travel.

Ok here we have 5 glorious things about where I call home

1.  Horicon Marsh - It is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States.  Which basically means it provides the opportunity for a person to spend tons of time outdoors no matter what the season is.  Snowshoeing, Kayaking, Hiking etc.

2. Horicon Ledge Park - It lies along a portion of the Niagara Escarpment.  In other terms when the glacier decided to plow its way thru Wisconsin it left these ledges or small cliffs.  The view from the top of the cliff area is beautiful.  Tons of areas to climb and explore.

3.  Rock River.  This just helps enable our summer boating fun.

4. Small Town Music Fest.  Jersey Street Music Fest.   We have this fantastic group called the Phoenix Group who thrives on ensuring the small town values and fun keep going.  They are doing so many wonderful things for our community between music fests, holiday celebrations, restoring a dance hall, and working ot get the playgrounds back in shape.  To many good things to say about them.

5. Our glorious small businesses.
Rock River Tap.  How many places do you know that have a sign outside like this one.  And yes there is a place to pull up your boat and wander in for a cocktail.  And they make pretty darn good burger.

The Ice Cream Station.  Really it has ice cream in the title, do I need to say more.

Sound like your cup of tea and need a place to stay...check out the Honeybee Bed and Breakfast

Oh and if you are a geocacher, there are some amazeballs geocaches around our little town.  There you have it some fun things about the little town I call home.

And ps....if you decide to come my way, message me for a blate please.
