Halloween Thriller Thursday

Happy Halloween. Time for a little thrill.  The time has come finally come for the big reveal. Tra La La....

Not too shabby on the makeup job, if I do say so myself.   Of course the hubbie's costume with the light bulb was a huge hit.   On Saturday our town had a pub crawl.   This would have been my first time on a pub crawl.  Talk about interesting.  We managed to hit 5 of the 7 bars.  Now the town that we live in is so small and the bars are so spread out they provided transportation from bar to bar free via little yellow school buses.  Climbing on a school bus with a bunch of strangers who have recently been served alcohol.  Interesting.

Ok my little pretties time for this girl to go dive into a bucket of candy after I down the baby vodka bottle someone gave me.

Creep out...xoxo, Dawn Marie

Word, It's Wednesday

Hold onto your panties, I know I didn't. Say What?!? Be grateful, very grateful that it is word it's Wednesday and there will be absolutely no pictures.  Somewhere someone said that the key to writing a (successful) blog is to be yourself, put things out there and let people get to know/relate to you.  Well now let's just crank it up and put this one down as over achieving.  Get ready for a little TMI.

Fear.  Everyone has them.  It is envitable.  One of mine is/was forgetting a very important piece of clothing that I need for my day.  You see, I leave the house at like 4:30 in the morning to go workout.  Dedication people. Needless to say thinking/remembering can get somewhat fuzzy at that time of day.  I have seriously pulled over miles out of town to make sure I had something, turned around to go back home to get something, worn my running shoes all day and smelly socks.  Now on this particular day, it happened.  Major piece of clothing forgotten and not realized it was missing until the moment you are standing to get dressed in your towel.  What was it..my underwear. Yup I forgot the panties.  Now I could have ran to the store later in the day. Instead I took a note from the boys and went commando, like all day long.   All day no panties.   Weird, strange and just not right. Still a portion of me was still grateful that it wasn't the bra.  It would just be cruel to subject the coworkers to the stinky sports bra for even a minute.

And there we have it.  Some words and way too much information for a Wednesday.

Terror Tuesday

Since it is obviously Halloween week in the world, no better chance then to think write about things halloweenie.

On the way into work the other morning, the radio show was talking about Halloween music. Or maybe I should of said lack there of.  Then I had to go and find as much Halloween music that I could think of.  Here are some of the musical selections that I came up with for your listening pleasure:
Thriller by Michael Jackson on Grooveshark Nightmare on My Street by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince on Grooveshark Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt Kickers on Grooveshark Time Warp by Rocky Horror Picture Show on Grooveshark This is halloween by The Citizens Of Halloween on Grooveshark

Not too bad.  There is one song though that came to mind, but you will have to wait until Thursday for the big Halloween costume reveal.    Oh now did I possible give a hint as to the costumes.  Possible, quite possible.

After listening to the conversation and thinking about music, my mind wandered off and started thinking about serial killers.  Yep, you heard that right serial killers.  In the (fictional) world of serial killers, where are the ladies at?  Can you think of any (fictional) female serial killers? Ready, set, go.

Since I am struggling with the ladies, let's give a shout out to the boys that make us look over our shoulder, make our skin crawl, and make us want to stay up all night.

The Collector - breaks into the house, kills everyone except for one lucky individual who ends up in a trunk for his little collection.
Leatherface - Now this guy is just going to chase you down to eat you.

Jigsaw - remember that time when you....well he does and makes sure you pay for it. Better behave you never know if he is watching.

Jason - Summer camp will never be the same. Poor kid drowned at camp when he was kid.  Br grateful you are not a counselor who he would like to seek his revenge on. No where to hide.

Freddy Krueger - Can't even sleep with this guy around.  Invades your dreams to kill you off.

Alrighty, now that I have sufficiently managed to creep myself out a little bit, this non-virgin big boobed girl is going to go and hide somewhere in hopes that I will make it for more then 15 minutes in the horror movie life.

Pull those blankets up tight tonight my pretties

Weekend Shenigans

And the envitable has finally happened.  Monday has arrived.  This weekend was so crazy...I could really use another day off.  Before I fall asleep, let's get on with it.  Shall we.

Saturday was cross country sectionals for my son.  In my personal opinion, it is a very challenging course for the kids.   Here are some pics, of course:

Whoot, Let's go team.  Have a great race. In case I have not mentioned, at each meet they read and inspirational quote and tuck it in their shoes for luck.

 Coming up to the finish
Once again he sits with ice on his knees.   Aside from him taking a little longer to get to the finish, I would have never have known he was in pain.  His determination amazes me at times.  Now he has had knee issues in the past, but this time the reasoning was not just runners knee.  At one point someone tripped him.  This time the person helped him up and apologized. Very shortly after he was tripped again.  This time they thought it was intentional.  Very sad.  I am very thankful to his teammate Ethan who came up from behind and picked him.  As Ethan stated "I just grabbed him by the jersey lifted him up and we kept going".  Thank you Ethan for picking him up before he got trampled.  Needless to say both of those led to the increased knee issues.  Again though I am very grateful for his determination and his team.  Horicon's Cross Country kids rock.

Afterwards since I had to drive like an hour and a half, I went shopping.  We will just call this shopping trip a therapy trip from the craptastical moments I was having.  Got a butter dish for the house with a handle on the cover.  Yay no more almost dropping that thing.  Then there was some random moments of clothes bliss and some ugly awesome shoes.  Yep and being a bad blogger there are no pictures of the items.  Whoops.

Saturday evening was some Halloween drunken debauchery. And you can bet your britches I am making you wait to Halloween day to hear about this.  Along with the picture of the Halloween costumes...ha ha ha.

Sunday was a pour yourself out of bed and get your stuff done around the house kind of day.Actually managed to get alot done.  Straightened the garage for winter, made some banana bread, and stopped by my Uncle Jerry's for a visit.  My uncle seriously cracks me up.  Someday I will have to write a post about him.  He has done great things for our city and struggles with MS.  He says he is one of the few people who has lived with MS for 40 years.  What can I say, my family is hard to take out.  Always tell the hubbie my family is like cockroaches, we would survive a meteor, nuclear blast, you name it.

Then Sunday evening for dinner decided everyone needed to live on the edge a little bit.  How?  Well this girl took and mixed two different flavors of Suddenly Salad together.  Crazy, right.  I know.

Speaking of crazy.  Since it appears that I may just be losing it slightly.  Time to say goodbye. Until another day, my lovelies.

Friday, Friday, Friday

With the mood that I seem to be in this week and the whole entire concept of people being inconsiderate bastards that are completely into only themselves or just about the money...yeah you heard that right. Whose done, this girl.  Time to surround myself with love and do away with the stressors.  Ok and now that we have that little tidbit off my chest....let's first back that azz up.
Katy Perry - Roar
I wore yoga pants

Because it is nice to have some music while venturing in my little world and seeing what the Five on Friday are these week.

1. Zippie aka my car.   Never at any point in life did I think I would fall in love with a car.  Seriously fell hard for my Zippie.  It is a Pontiac Vibe.  Poor thing was making some serious horrible noises this last week.  Into the shop and poof....all better now.

2. Babies sleep over.  Got to have a sleepover with the babies.  Ok they really are toddlers. Think one of these days I better stop calling them babies.  Aside from just hanging out I had some awesome helpers making brownies for the cross country kids this weekend.

Of course those two got some leftover oreos.  Then got to drop them off at daycare.  Where they showed me the fish, books, the pheasant feathers their dad brought in and the one picture in the world that little Morgie moo actually agreed to do/participate in.

3. Pumpkin Seeds.  Hands down this is one of my fave things about fall. And also the worst, since you normally have to take time to carve pumpkins to get the seeds...blah blah.  No time for that here lately.  This year though my wonderful teenager, Forest who took food class decided to bring some home to his mommie.  Attempting to pace myself.

4. Great Notes...much to my surprise (and I am sure my sons), Forest received a postcard in the mail from his science teacher.   Will let the picture speak for itself.
Yeppers I am a proud mommie.

5.  My Parents have sailed into the sunset and are off on their winter adventure.   I am enjoying my daily updates of the state that they are in and what the weather is like.  Aside from Skype time, guess we will see them next year.  They said in spring.  But if this girl can find a cheap ticket it maybe sooner rather than later.

Have a lovely weekend my peeps, xoxo

Gettin' my fix

Once again it was that time of the month.  No not that "time of the month".   Stitch fix time.  Which is way better than the other, if I do say so myself.  Awesome fun clothes delivered right to my door handpicked by a stylist, now who could pass that up.

Stitch Fix

Now if you are unaware what it is, here are some details.  Go online here: Stitchfix.  Fill out a style profile, pay $20 to have the sylist pick out and send you clothes.  Once you receive them you have three days to choose which ones you will keep and which ones you will return. You make notes online also regarding what you liked or didn't like to help out the stylist on your next fix.

Alright, now that everyone is up to speed.  Let's bring on Fix #3 for me.

Wasn't a big fan of how the sleeves were on me.

And now that you have seen everything....what did I keep?  Nothing this time around.  Rather disappointing. Only got ok's out of the hubbie and Forest.  Way too much navy blue going on in this box.  Being required by my job to wear navy blue, the last thing I want in my shirts is more navy blue.  Pointed that out in my review.  Now to see what next time brings.

End of the day, it is still fun getting a box where you have no idea of what is in it.  Like Christmas morning.

Word...it's Wednesday

Obviously this is all words today peeps.  Welcome back to Word it's Wednesday. Where we have the joy of wandering in my brain.

Daycare bake sale day...Hell to the YEAH.   Not a single item with chocolate, ok well dark or milk chocolate, was purchased or eaten by me.  White chocolate, well yes.  This week is sure not helping me on my whole body fat percentage goal. With a halloween pub crawl coming up this weekend too.  Think I should probably just this whole getting back into the groove of eating better starting next week.

On another food note a my friend, BJ, informed me today that I had to get him super supper salad from the piggly wiggly by my house because there is absolutely positively nothing like it.  This is coming from the boy who lived in New York.   See the awesomeness that comes out of the sticks city boy.  Yeah those little old church ladies recipes got it going on. BOOM.

And speaking of BJ, he finally reminded/dragged my behind down to get my picture retaken on my work photo id.  All better now.  No more messed up 90's hair with weird bangs going on. Afterwards he addressed another pressing issue with our cafeteria folks: the bronco sub was actually 5 inches and not 6.  Personally I thought it was rather funny.  The head of the cafeteria thought it was very serious since they gauge nutrional data off of it.  Guess in this case size really does matter peeps.

Bittersweet moment today...my parental units have flown the cope.  The snowbirds are officially on there way south for the winter.  To my dear Arizona blog friends heads up, my parents are invading your state. Take care of them, please.  And this girl is watching ticket prices for a possible impromtu trip to visit them.  Warm weather in the middle of a freezing cold winter, yes please.

And my zippie aka my car and primary mode of transportation is fixed.  Horrible grinding noises.  Just the brakes and now she is all better.  No more having to drive the little brother's "classic".  Ok maybe it is a beater car....how do you know this? Simple it could be the crack in the windshield, or that I have had a tank and half of gas for the week or while at a stop sign I was still doing 70mph, yet going now where.

And last but finally not least....my stitch fix is coming today.   So Excited, Happy Dance.

Oh what a night...

Turn the volume up and take walk back in time.  That is what I did this weekend on my mommie and me date.  We went to see the Broadway Show, Jersey Boys.

And as I mentioned in this post: Bring on the Friday Five, you will get to see the awesome dress I picked for the concert from my Stitch Fix. Now quick note; told my stylist what I was doing and looking for.  They hit it dead on with this little number.  Love it.  There was even a lady that I went past to get to my seat that said myself and the dress were absolutely gorgeous.  Thank you Stitch Fix again!  Love!

That hairstylist of mine also did an amazeballs job of matching the hair style to the event and dress.  Because we all know it starts with the dress.

Walk Like a Man by The Four Seasons on Grooveshark

Afterwards, time for us girls to have a little dinner.  Welcome to Mo's

Now this little glass of glory was a Salted Carmel Mocha Martini.  Oh yeah like my favorite starbucks drink with a kick.  Amazeballs.

Yummie in this girls tummie.

After all that fun it was time to venture home and.....
pull out and count the bobbie pins.  59.   Before my head hit the pillow at the end of my glorious day.

What an amazeballs weekend.

Like a chicken

*** The day was so crazy, I forgot to hit publish...here you go lovelies a little late **

This day has been beyond on crazy here at my little place called work.   Just feeling like I am....

The last few days in my little cul de sac have also been just slightly crazy busy at night too.   Between having my fitness assessment done, a retirement party, family meeting day, and a band concert.  Just completely crazy.

Happy news the package that I mentioned here: Word its wednesday actually did arrive on Wednesday...whoot!

Since I forgot the camera at the retirement party and it would have been a little awkward to photograph the whole fitness assessment thing (expect a blog post on this in the future), you lovelies will just be left to look at some pictures from the band concert.

Very thankful that the school decided to split the grades into their own concerts.  Much easier just sitting thru just your own kids.   And 8th grde band is a huge step up from 6th grade Row, Row your Boat.  The audience was graced with some America the Beautiful and Beatles music.   Enjoy the pics since I seemed to be having way to much fun with the zoom feature.  And let's not forget to I wore yoga pants

Alrighty people let's move on into the weekend...peace out
