Weekend Happenings

Cold, wet and rainy start to the weekend here.  My weekend started with watching my Forest run at his cross country meet.
The boys ever so grateful that I brought a blanket with.

Saturday was our official anniversary...and after my craptastical morning run we spent the remainder of the day practicing what we will be like when we are old...
For the record again I am not picking my noise.  We were out doing a little thrift shopping.  Not sure the hubbie got what he needed, but I did find some awesome pyrex bowls for a steal and this really cool (but not) warming pad to keep food hot.

Chuck spent his Saturday afternoon watching the teenager and practicing how to sit like a man.

Now I forgot to take pictures for the rest of the evening, but it was family night in the cul de sac.  It was the start of our 80's movie viewing series.  We believe that our teenagers missed out on so many good movies from the 80's that it is time to bring them back. We have our top picks narrowed down and will be working our way thru them over the winter.

Our first one was the "Goonies".   We had homemade pizza and of course, baby ruths for dessert.  The kids finally learned what the original truffle shuffle looked like.  Now to only gte them to take the time to practice it.

Sunday, I still was clearly not back on my game since I managed to dump an entire box of spaghetti noodles all over the floor.  Thank you hubbie for ensuring there was a picture to document this.

Sunday was more family time, say what.  It was time for the annual anniversary pictures and we did some family pictures right away too.  These pictures will be coming shortly; for now you just get some of the fun we had on the hike.

Still trying to figure out why everytime we are in the woods Forest wants to hug trees...strange.

The Ledge is a park that is close to our home where there are tons of rocks for climbing and little nooks and crannies to be explored.

The dogs were so excited.  They seriously needed a day out to romp around in the forest.  Bullet is like a mountain lion when it comes to hiking and climbing up the rocks.  Now Chuck is just a dainty little flower that demands to be carried up the treacherous rocks.

Sunday evening brought us a family dinner of chicken and ribs before it was time to say good by to our glorious family weekend.

There you have the weekend that was...no boating for a change, but some beautful weather and fantasic times with the family.
