Follow Through Friday

As I mentioned in the 2014-fresh-starts it appears that quite a few of our goals for 2014 were turning out to be fitness/health related.  To help hold us accountable, thought it would be appropriate to do a fitness fess up Friday thing.

Now my first thought when everyone put their goals up for the year was like wow these are huge (that is what she said).   How the heck are we going to tackle those.  OK, break it down into little segments.  Wrote down what I thought would be a "weekly" goal.  This of course turned out to be a little large (how is that possible), hence it turned into the monthly goal.  And tra la la, our monthly goal will be:   Healthy Choices.    How to accomplish this goal diet changes and calorie tracking.


Changes we have made in our lifestyle this week. As my hubbie has been saying all week "it is a lifestyle CHANGE".   More fruits and veggies, measuring our portions, and weighing in.

Alrighty let's get this line up started and see how/what we have been doing this week.

Hubbie - Goal Lose Weight (40-45lbs)
   Monitor food intake via myfitnesspal (love this app)
   Cut down his calories
   Packing a lunch and snacks instead of eating gas station food
   Snacks are veggies or fruit
   Having breakfast before he leaves the house
   Weight Lost 9lbs
     
Steppie - Goal Lose Weight (20lbs)
   Monitor calories via myfitness pal
   Turns out she wasn't eat enough, making sure she gets 1200 calories a day
    Cut out fruit juice
    Starting basketball this week
    Weight Lost TBD next week

Forest - Goal Gain Weight/half marathon
     Added juice into morning meal
     Glass of milk with evening meal
    Took a 2 mile run
     Weight GainTBD next week  

Dawn - Goal Lose Weight/Lean up/Run a half marathon
      Monitor calories via myfitness pal
      Hit the gym everyday this week (and my body was explaining very clearly to me that it was a bad idea, just sayin')
      Weight Lost 3lbs  Body Fat % TBD


There you have it lovelies.  Looks like to date we are off on the right foot.  And with the calorie reduction no one has had their arm chewed off yet. Keyword, yet.   

And since no one can work out without music (or shouldn't), let's back that azz up....
