Started this weekend on the slightly craptastic side. See this girl has to have a crown put on. Not the super awesome sparkly kind covered in jewels either. The hey Mr. Dentist kind. First they start with a temporary one. Temporary is an understatement. Put on on Wednesday. Fell off Thursday night. They put it back on Friday and Saturday morning...it was off again. Poo. Think this little sad temp crown may just have to be put on the back burner until the original comes in. And to finish frosting my cookies Saturday morning, my run stunk. Like horrible. Need to get my head in the game my half marathon is just around the corner.
After I finished my run did our house shopping at Walmart. Hate Walmart by the way, going there, the money spent etc. Hence why I only shop for the house once a month. Anyways, was so proud. I made it thru the self check with a very full cart only getting hung up once! Yes! The girl in the self check was mighty impressed too. Even got a good job, I did.
After a little disappoint in the AM, just had a leisurely Saturday afternoon of getting a whole lot of nothing accomplished. Sometimes you just need that.
Saturday evening was time for a little boat cruise with the family. It was mom and dads first time on the boat. Not sure if mom will be joining us again though. Sad. Enjoy a few moments...
Captain Dan (not as special as Captain Rod, of course)
We must share the Grandpa
Hold on to your britches...little Morgie Moo is at the wheel.
My view from the front of the boat. This is a place I rarely sit.
Now it's Coopers turn.
Heron chilling on the shoreline
The bald eagles nest. No one was home again.
Beautiful sunset to end our day.
Then once we got home, we ordered Chinese. Equally as wonderful as a sunset.
Scary Sunday Funday...headed out on the water again. I know huge surprise there, right. Temps were going to be in the 90's no better place to be then on the water.
Barely even made it out and we had a sleeper.
Sandbar Time
You never know what maybe lurking in the lake....like a swimming monkey
Playing with muck
The babies may not have liked the rocket ship, but Forest and myself did.
And the boys tubed for a little bit
Before the boys had their enjoyable portion of tubing, we did have one incident. A very scary one. We can just call this story some form of a public service announcement or something. When taking the tube to the lake, we stuff it in the front section of the boat. With the winds etc on Sunday, the tube with the rope and our ladder attached proceeded to go flying out of the boat. Thankfully the rope did not get tangled around anyone and take them with or do some serious damage. The little bro has some rope burns. My nephew who was helping daddie drive thankfully came away without a scratch. Very scary. Please, please if you are on the water make sure your tube is secured. We definetly will be in the future. That was a little close for comfort.
Otherwise we can write this down as another glorious weekend in the books with the family. Amazing that labor day weekend is around the corner and summer will be coming to a close soon.
xoxo, Dawn Marie
