Ghosts of Weekend Past

This weekend meant four things......a roadtrip, a Badger game, a whole bunch of Easter candy, and a season finale.   First up a little clue about the road trip we were about to venture on...
Damn, skippy no one could ever be unhappy on jetski, right?  So how about we jump in a car drive 2 1/2 hours to the middle of no where.  Ok. Boom and so it shall be.

A jetski.  Look how pretty that is sitting next to the house.  Now for the weather to cooperate and it to get about 65 degrees.  What would a two hour roadtrip be without some fun on the way home.

So we passed this little interesting road side mini town (I guess) on the way up.  I am like, "oh we gotta stop there".  The hubbie, of course, explained that places like that are where travelers stop and are to never be seen from again.  Whatever.  We stopped anyway...
and ended up getting slightly buzzed at the wine shop that offered free samples.  That is what we get for taste testing on an empty stomach.  It was all ok in the end since we ended up finding a wine that both of us really like.  It would be the StellaRose. That Chicken Cock was a flavored infused whiskey, which we did not try.  That name though, ha ha.

We also meandered in a few other stores. Paddys Dream was a little different to say the least. Interesting jewelry, clothes and antiques.   Then there was the candy shop next door.  Aside from a few candies, we ended up getting some funky sodas to try.  Then there was some bread dipping, marinade, and dip mix stuff we grabbed.

With a nice little buzz on and not having breakfast we made a stop at IHOP.  Then it was time to get home and get ready because Hello the Badegrs were playing.

And holy bananas we won...Take that Kentucky. And yes a selfie with some random person in the bar is a requirement....all will playing this the moment they won and making the whole bar JUMP AROUND
Crank that up, Jump Around and Make Em Believe.  ON WISCONSIN!

Now with all that going on, you know Sunday was meant for quietness...aka hangover time.  You would think we would learn not to do shots for 3's at our age, whoops.

After our Sunday morning errands, a quick stop by the nephews and parents (they're back) and then a momentary thought of taking out the jetski. No piers in yet (boo).  The remainder of the day revolved around in eating some Easter candy and having a fantastic dinner with my hubbie; where we indulged in the bread dipping oil and a bottle of wine that we bought the day before.  Hair of the dog people...true story, it works.

The night came to a close as every Sunday does watching one of our fave shows, Shameless before the new week begins. And that was the season finale of Shameless...and all I have to say is oh my goodness.

ON WISCONSIN, MAKE EM BELIEVE!!
