Travel Tales...going home

Hey you know that time when I spent like a month recapping my glorious Arizona trip.  Yeah that would be now. This though will be the final installment of my Arizona travels.  Let's just jump right into all the randomeness, shall we.

IHOP - Remember last Friday the car conversation with the hubbie, well when I was in Arizona I actually got to go to the Ihop.   Plus it was my parents first time there.  Say what?!?  They will never be the same again.

And while down there I got to experience In-n-Out Burger
Then eat chorizo for breakfast ever possible chance I got.  I could live there just for the fact that they have this everywhere for breakfast including Dennys.  Win!
Poor daddie not very happy with his little baby millkshake.

And even in Arizona I can manage a shopping trip at Target.  Forgetting that I was in Arizona also led me to buy random items that were unneccesary, such as popcorn and pita chips, and then having to get a larger box to send them to Wisconsin.  Whoops.  It is Target though.

And my daddie took me to the Tractor Supply store.  Tried to get him to buy me this amazing hat.  For some reason he said No.  I mean come on people look at the thing it has a built in green visor.  I would have started a new trend at the good ole trailer park.

Check this out someone seriously took a dune buggy out to eat.
But shit it was only 99 cents
Now while you continue to sing a little Macklemore Thrift Shop in your head enjoy some random beauty.

Then there was the day I tried to get home....
No luck ended up back on the couch in the trailer park again

Going home Day 2...breakfast at the airport
Thru security.  I can see my gate it is so close.
And finally we are boarding the plane...Wisconsin bound.

And last but not least...this cowgirl is out.  Ha ha ha had my boot on my daddies precious truck Ha.  Even didn't even mention putting a boot up my behind for that.

Spring Time Favorites

Today I decided to take a seat at The Circle, which is a monthly blogger hangout hosted by the amazing Kiki at In Its Time. And we will be getting together to talk about something that is currently very highly anticipated...SPRING!
So here's to springtime, to making new friends, and joining in The Circle!

marchsignsofspring

What is spring like where you live?
Ha ha what is spring.  Seriously this year has been crazy cold and there is still snow in the ground.  The temps in our 10 day forecast are not looking promising right now either.  Nothing above forty.  Sooner or later it will thaw out and spring will bring a muddy mess. Wisconsin Spring equals muddy mess.

What's your favorite springtime accessory?
Anything bright and cheery to help shake off the winter blah's.  And if I get really, really lucky...flippie floppies.

Do you have any springtime traditions?
Aside from Easter, nope sorry not really anything.  Unless opening windows blowing out the winters dust and then going for walks outside count.

What is your favorite spring treat?
Holler....can you say Easter Candy.  Cadbury creme eggs, mini eggs, peeps.  Bring me some candy, please.

Favorite spring holiday?
Guess I would go with Easter here.  Of course, Cinco de Mayo is in spring and I like me some mexican food. Num Num.  Ok let's just go with anything that revolves around food.  I run for a reason people.

What's your favorite thing to do in the spring?
Walk outside, enjoy the sunshine and smell of worms dethawing.

Find and capture a sign of spring and tell us about the photo(s)!

Sad to say this is the first day of spring in Wisconsin.   There is still snow on the ground.  I am thankful there are portions of grass coming thru, we can see the fire pit and the birds seem to be appearing more everyday.  One more month and hopefull my tulips will be peeking thru. We are getting close!!

Happy first day of Spring lovelies!

I Feel Pretty - Stitch Fix #6

I feel pretty, oh so pretty.   Time again for another Stitch Fix.  I love stitch fix. Interested, more details below on how to get some of this awesomeness in your life.  It is so much fun.   This fix couldn't have come at a better time either.  Let's just get on with it and see shall we...

1. Roxanna Chevron Open Knit Cardigan
The cut and overall fit on this sweater was wonderful.  Not very sure on the print though.  Almost felt like is was a direct arrow to my bootie.

2. Gracelyn Back Twist Knit Top and 3. Kensie Sophia Distressed Jean
Loved the color of the shirt.  There is absolutely nothing in this color in my drawer.  Said to say with the cut when I turned to the side I looked a little prego (not the spaghetti sauce either).   The jeans.  Material was gloriously comfy and the wash beautiful.  They were a little to big and long, so I was feeling like I was constantly pulling my pants up.

4. Jayla Front Twist Sweater
This sweater had spring written all over it.  I paired it with an aqua cami underneath.  The color was beautiful coral and the material super soft.  Then later I also put the next item with it.

5. Holly Chevron Arrow Print Infinity Scarf

Honestly when I saw the pattern in the box I was kind of like, "oh goodness, that could be a crazy shirt".  When opening my box I have vowed not to read the cards or the letter until after I look at whats in the box.  The minute I pulled it out and reazlied it was a scarf.  I was in love.  Pattern is crazy awesome.  Bonus is that I will be able to transition this thru the seasons.  Completely plan on wearing it this week, so keep an eye out.

And of course, there is the famous what did I keep question.  This one was a tough one.  Almost ended up with all 5.  Even the hubbie said, "you are going to keep the whole box?"  Note the key word there was "almost".  My little dilema: Loved two of the items. Was on the fence on a third item.  Well if I kept the third then I might as well go for the whole box.  Then I recalled on the third item that I would only buy if it was a perfect fit.  It happened to be the jeans.

Which did I keep....4. Jayla twist sweater and 5. Holly Chevron Arrow Print Scarf.
Absolutely love both of them.

Now as promised, here are more details on how you can get in on the action.

Beauty Buzz - Ulta

Here we are again for the Tuesday beauty buzz.  My major buzz this week is the fact that last Thursday I got to go to Ulta.  Yes, this is exciting. It would be my first time ever.  Was rather suprised at everything that they carried.  High end, drugstore, plus hair porducts, and then a salon in the back interesting.

Let's see what is now gracing the vanity in my bathroom....
Sad to say that the tea tree soap smelled better in the bottle.   And if you hung around the blog long enough, you know my love for Mario Badescu, so the fact I could grab this at the store...winning.

Then there was the mini NYX haul.   Heard so much about this line I had to get some things to try.  After all people just rave about the buttergloss.  I will say I opened the butter gloss in the car and yes, it is a creamy dream.

Also on the check out list was the charcoal mask  Plus the extra bonus was some other ones from The Body Shop.

Last but finally not least....saw this and fell in love with the colors in this pallette, so it just had to come home with me.

All in all Ulta was an interesting experience.   I loved the fact that they had both drugstore and high end items.  Will I go back.  Now that depends if there is one in the area that I am in.
What couldn't you resist splurging on this week?

Happy St. Pattys Day

May you be indulging in some green beer or other form of St. Pattys Day festivities.  I know I am looking forward to the irish goodness that awaits me in the slow cooker later.

For now though, let's take a look at the weekend.  Friday and Saturday morning equated to a whole lot of:  where did my time go?  Must have gotten something accomplished since I do not have my Thursday paper sitting on my coffee table.  Plus I did spend some time at the library, where I managed to forget to enter the gift basket raffle.

Now if you haven't heard me bitching (yes, we have escalated to bitching) about winter then you need to hang around here more.   Bet you didn't know we are headed into the next age.  Guess what neither did I, but it seems like it. Since it is still bloody cold outside and we needed something to do.  Cabin fever is reaching it's peek people.  Saturday night we decided to load up the family and go bowling.

I seriously could not even tell you the last time I was bowling.   What I do know is I have serious bowling skills.  Like the skill of losing, the skill of how many different ways/poses/positions can you do while attempting to get the ball down the alley, and the skill of giving the ball random directions that it clearly does not listen too.

Here is the hubbie...look at that concentration.

Then we have the Forest.  Who just chooses to grab random balls toss them down the alley and not even use the finger holes.  (please people with all that kind of talk let's keep our minds out of the gutter and your balls or whatever)

Amazingly with all that skill he ended up getting two strikes in a row.
How is that even possible.  We played adults against the teenagers.  The teens grabbed the first game.  Us adults got the second and third games.  And me being the biggest loser in the first game ended up getting 2nd place in the third game. Oh and I even got a strike! Whoot!

Now Sunday is the good ole house cleaning, grocery shopping, blah day.  After that was done the spring bug stung and I decided that even if the outside was not going to reflect spring the house needed too.  Maybe old man winter will get the hint.

If you saw my instagram, we were also sampling a candidate for the boat beverage of choice in the summer of 2014. While doing this, we determined that we needed more then one can and the boys were off to the liqour store.  Sounds simple, right.  It was right up unil the little bro decided he needed to bond with Charlie the chiweenie prior to leaving. Charlie does not like the little bro.  There is no reason behind this...at all.  As the little brother goes up to the chiweenie, he proceeds to scare the poop out of him, literally.  Charlie runs across the back of the couch leaving terds all along the way.  Seriously Charlie was that scared.  After all that excitement, we just chilled for the rest of the evening.

Now what to look forward to this week:
  • I have tomorrow off for Forest's drivers test.  Fingers crossed.
  • Need to get my basketball bracket filled out. This takes great skill, you need to be very strategic with your eenie, meenis, miney, mos.  And if you need a bracket...go here: http://a.espncdn.com/i/ncaa/14mens_bracket.pdf
  •  And Kelli over at She Crab Soup gave me yet another reason to snap way to many pictures.  So look for that link up coming next week

And since I have some extra time...going to see what else I can conjure up for you in my little web world.  Stay Tuned.
