Ready set Time for the Bunny Hop

Easter. I may or may not have decided that I hate easter.  This year I totally failed on the whole lent concept. Note I am shifting blame to my dear work friend, who I no longer work in the same department with, to keep an eye on me.  Sorry if this whole not fond of Easter thing finds you rather crabbie at me, you should realize that by the end of this post we probably will discover the answer or a reason for me to love Easter deep in the depths of the black hole called my brain.

Could it possibly be because the kids are older, aka teenagers, and no longer find the fun joys of the Easter bunny. So really buying this and getting that for Easter just seems like a daunting task. I do still have the two little goobers to buy for. Which in that case Easter does provide the chance for me to have a legit excuse as to why I am buying them something else yet again. That is always a win.

The parents are here this year for Easter. So we will be having an official easter dinner...which really just translates to a normal Sunday family dinner with more work.  Of course, not work for me though for my mommie this time, ha ha.  More work due to the fact that she will be making turkey and all the fixings, which is clearly not a common place in the house. We will just disregard that she has tasked me to make the hard boiled eggs. Seriously this is a stressful task for me.  My fear of f'ing up a whole dozen eggs pushes me close to the edge.

My neverending gratefulness for hard boiled egg making just seems to overflow.  First off I seriously think I am not very good at it. Second probably most important is that there are three people in my family who absolutely love deviled eggs; the little bro, the hubbie, and the forest.  Now as everyone knows eggs make people stinky and 2 of the 3 lovers of eggs live in my house.  With the frigid temperatures and inability to open a window I may just die. May I receive a gas mask for Easter.

Speaking of things dying. I may have hinted to the nephews that we should hunt down the Easter bunny, steal his candy and have him for dinner. (Remember some people do eat rabbit) My moo thought it was a good idea, Cooper not so much.  I mean look at this.  Kind of creepy when you look at it like this.  Saw one in the mall the other day and I was like freaked out.  Creepy.

Cooper shouldn't worry though this is not like Santa. The Easter bunny does not watch you like a creeper(even though it may look like one), you still will get candy and treats.  Candy, thats it. The numero uno reason I love easter!

Dear bunny, I take back what I said. Bring me some cadbury creme eggs and hershey mini eggs, like now.  Please.  For those two reasons alone plus spoiling the two littles we can continue with easter. Hoppy Easter!

Since we discovered the love of bunnies.  Let's take some time for some serious bunny love.

Yeppers those are some super cute little baby bunnies.

For those who are worried about us handling the bunnies, the mommie will still care for the littles.  We ensured that they were all back in the nest snug as little bugs in a rug for us to sneak peeks and watch them grow up to be the Easter bunny (you know the one who brings me cadbury creme eggs) someday.

Now let the Easter celebrations and overindulgence in chocolate begin.   Hoppy Easter my Peeps!

ps: this is in no way related to any religious aspects of Easter, just random other points that have no rhyme or reason. As in we try to steer clear of all things religion in this little region of the blogwold.  So no offense, ok.  Please indulge in a bowl of jellybeans like stat.  It's the weekend!

Picture Practice: Person

By far these are my two most favorite boys to snap pictures of, especially since teenagers don't seem to cooperate and husbands get tired of you sticking a camera in their face.  Our first little picture I am amazed that I actually even got.  Try to wrangle these guys down for a moment is one difficult task.

Here are a couple more of my fave pictures.
This one here had the black and white filter applied after the picture was taken.  It turned out perfect and was just a random moment of us goofing around.
Until next week where the subject is nature.  Hopefully it will warm up for me to get out a bit, this whole warm then snow is old people.   Have a lovely week

Remember me

Hello, hello.  Remember me. Let the silence be broken.  May there be a moment in my week to give my blog a little bit of love.  So sorry my blogland peeps, this week has seriously been kicking my little behind.

Now that would be the perfect lead into one app I found this week...the Bullshit button.
Oh this will be utilized every chance I get.

And my phone also tried to inform this morning that I needed to stay home and take care of business when somehow I unlocked my phone and it was on this screen...
A Jalepeno Margarita...now if it would not have 4:47 in the AM maybe.

And 11 days into the month of the Wallet Watch I pretty sure I am doing a shitastic job.  Bought an unplanned scarf online, come on you know it was adorable.  And totally blasted the grocery budget by going out to eat.  Then there was the little bar excurions.  But you know when the badgers make it into the final four, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

I can say though I am doing an amazeballs job on the #1800daychallenge.  Plus we still have the giveaway going on over here in the blog.  4 days to get your chance to get in on that goodness.  Info below.

Let's give some love to some other bloggers whose posts I just loved this week:

Sometimes You Just Need your Mom (Wifessionals) - Makes me all warm and fuzzy.

Like Such As by Venus Trapped in Mars - This post was absolutely hilarious.

Beach Bag Essentials by She Crab Soup - Not only was there a great idea in this post, the carbiner for the keys, yeah hello why did I not think of it before.   It also led to an old post of hers on the usage of baby powder at the beach.  Genius.  Beach Sand Removal Secret

You know that moment when you get to share something with someone just because and it makes them happy..I love that. And I that happened to me today...yay.  Now let's move along with the weekend.

Hi HO HI HO..

Welcome Home Weekend

Oh my glorious weekend, how I miss you so.  Someone needs to write a letter or something and get it changed to 3 days.  Two for fun and one for rest.

Saturday morning, I found myself watching to little goobers.  We watched the ducks out the window.  Talk about crazy.  I never realized until that morning that some of those can stay under water for a very long period of time.  Plus swim underwater almost half way across the river.  Of course, I had breakfast with the early riser.  Applejacks.  Like one of my fave cereals, ever.

And now does the next picture look familiar.  My parents with my Arizona hotel arrived back home.  Quite honestly not sure why.  Well they said they missed us, but come on people it is still bloody cold here.  You may have had to pull my arm (yeah not so much), but I would have gladly went to visit them.
And I had my first official Leroy meat brat fry of the year!!!

Now Saturday evening there was no way we could let mom cook on her first night back.  So it was family roadtrip to Benvenuto.

We had way more food then we knew what to do with.  Plus we experienced "italian" nachos.  I foresee these making it to my menu sometime in the future.

And now Saturday later in the evening...was the final four.  GO BADGERS.  And I loved that my son's Sports Illustrated had the badgers gracing the cover.

Glimpses of our evening shenigans.  First off, how many bars do you go to where someone parks their tractor out front?

Now the extra bonus to the bar was that they serve my favorite cocktail.  Hello smirnoff cranberry and lime. Holler, glorious.  Plus we ran into one of the spelling bee champs.

Here you have the hubbie and I in a moment of celebration before the Badgers got beat by 1 stinken point.  Yes, 1, numero uno, one, point.  Boo.  Oh well, On WISCONSIN!

Now Sunday was just a chill day hanging out in the sack.  And we bought this grill....both charcoal and gas.  The hubbie is in love.  Well that was after the task of putting the thing together for like 3 hours.

And to my happiness and dismay.  Yes dismay, since I feel like I gained 5lbs from this event.   The Ice Cream Station is open for the year again.  This would be ooey goey...and it is a dark chocolate ice cream with brownie bites.  It might have been heaven.

And that would be the weekend that was....
