#TLCVoxBox

Who was a lucky girl?!?  Of course, me.  I got chosen for influensters TLC Vox Box.  And hey what working mama couldn't use some things to get some TLC in her life.

This glorious little box contained:
1. Shell Rewards Card - Did not have the chance to use this.  No Shell gas stations are very convienent for me.

2. Avon Anew Wrinkle Smoother - Packaging.  While the packaging looked sleek and refined, it was rather difficult to figure out how to open and get to the product.  Thankfully I did not break this in the process.   It appeared to reduce the appearance of the fine lines (that I really don't have, wink).  A little to greasey for my taste.

3.  Ivory Soap - Hello soap carving.  Yes I know there are other uses for this little bar of wonder, but hey this girl needs a trip down memory lane.  Soap Carving.

4. Beyers Gelato - Definetly good for a gelato that you can purchase at the grocery store.

5. Neosporin To Go - This was one of my faves from the box, especially since you know how many adventures we go on.  Small, easy to use design.  It went boating, camping and kayaking.  Knokc on wood there was no injuires so I did not get to use it.

6. Puff To Go - With allergy season in full swing, this was a perfect addition to my little adventures.  Between kayaking and running, I found myself grabbing these before heading out the door.

Overall conclusion...get the gelato (hello it's is sweets people), Neosporin to go (the perfect addition for a first aid kit or take along emergencies) and of course,  Puffs to Go.

I received these products complimentary from influenster for testing purposes.

Water Weekend Round ?? Lost Count

Yet another weekend has gone by.  The Wisconsin weather was dreary on Saturday.   Used that chance to head over to Fleet Farm and Menards aka it is a dreary day and I can't be on the boat, so let's find a project for the hubbie to do.I can say I was successful in that endeavor and we now have a new picnic table to have dinners on in the summer.  Plus he picked up a trailer hitch to tow the boat.  Then he found this...
He was not the only one missing the boat.  And here is the lovely crazy, kind of crooked picnic table that now graces our patio area.

Since he worked so hard, it was only approriate that I indulged and did some sampling for a possible boat beverage.
Found this at the liquor store (obviously).  Since I tried the hard cider when we stopped in Green Bay, I have come to the conclusion that I need to try more.  Conclusion on this one was it is good as long as it is cold.  Otherwise it taste like cold medicine.

Saturday evening we were suppose to be lighting fireworks with the littles, but the weather decided at that point it was going to pour out.  We did discover that Joey the tree frog moved back into the littles dump truck....then we found a toad.  It was like little boy heaven.

At one point that little tree frog was attached to the front of Moo's shirt.

Sunday equaled boat time.  Thank goodness or the tears may have been really shed by the hubbie.  Slightly windy but a beautiful day. And Forest and Miss K joined us again.  Starting to like his girlfriend more and more.

The boys sitting on there favorite log.

And then we kind of found this when we moved a cushion.  Let's all cross our fingers and hope that Joey the Tree frog didn't decide to come boating with us without our knowledge.  The littles though made sure that we put sleeping Joey in the water, so he could wake up and go home to his mommie and daddie.

And the day would not be complete without a stop at Skalliwags.

There you have the weekend that was. And now we restart the countdown until the next.

Marathon Monday

Happy Monday.  As you can tell I survived yet another week of marathon training.  Last week was a step down week.  My mileage was shorter, yay.  I seriously needed that.  And shorter miles on Saturday meant that I go to sleep an extra 30 minutes, winning.

With it being a shorter run, there really was not much to report.  The weather was humid.  So really the whole time I just kept hoping the clouds would open and a coolness in the form of rain would happen.

Did see a few things on the road.
Like Chickens, in the front yard of someones house.  Then there was this poor little dead turtle.  Road kill people is a sad thing.  Right along with all the trash that I see on the side of the road.  I mean come on, did you have to throw that out the window.  Of course, this takes the cake as the interesting find of the run...
A recliner.  When I found it, it was upside down.  So of course I had to turn it the correct way.  Wasn't to gross...plus it was a massaging recliner.  Now if there would have been an outlet there I could have gotten a massage mid run.  Drove past the area on Sunday and it was gone.  There goes the plans for next week and attempting to have a generator set up for mid run massages.

Back on track this week...and we will be pushing pass the great fourteen.

Enjoy the week

Friday 5 - A Bucket List

An evening ago my stitchfix came.  Now my mother loves to see what I ended up getting so since she was not off wandering the country (aka setting up roots in Arizona for the winter), I had her come over.  Plus one of the items I requested was for my mommie and me Phantom of the Opera date.  Today's post was going to be my Friday five stitch fix.  Instead I felt it needed a change.  Now is this the place to share someone elses wish list, not sure.  But being that I am stubborn, I am going to share anyways.   Real love forgives all anyways....right.

A conversation with my mother somehow became a discussion of her bucket list.  Bucket lists scare me to death since it relates to death.  Death and Dawn don't get along so well.  For that fact alone I will attempt to stay away from death for as long as possible.  Ok back on track again.  My mother shared with us her "bucket list" or things she would like to see.   Today I am going to share those with you. (love you mom)

1. Alaska

Use your imagination to see the Polar Bears dancing with the Penguins while the whales are shooting sparkly confetti from their blow holes.

2. Maine

Imagination Time:  See the little lobsters basking in the sun on the rocks just waiting for you to pick one to be served on a platter in a glorious drenching of butter.

3. Hawaii

Imagination:  You are drinking an umbrella drink while hula girls/guys are dancing on the beach for you while a volcano is providing a natural fireworks show.

4. Utah

Imagination- Let it run wild.  I have no idea what happens in Utah. I will just be sitting on the bank breathing in the fresh air.

5. Carribean Cruise

Imagination - Bask in the sun in a hammock while someone is serving up some delicious umbrella drinks and seahorses are dancing on the waves in the distance.

On this last little wish,  I have two people who I love with all of my being that want to do this.  I personally have no inclination to do this.  Being the person I am and getting joy from seeing others happiness; deep in my heart I have a feeling that I am going to make this happen.  Dear husband, since I have not had the chance to share this craziness with you yet, sorry, love me.  This woman, my mother, has given me so much in my life and put up with a mass amount of shit. I want to make this happen for her.  It is the number one thing I have heard say she has wanted to do for years now.  Aside from trying to make her proud everyday this will be the one thing I want to give to her...a moment and dream fulfilled to make her happy and her heart overflowing.

Sharing the dreams of a woman who has given me life, and has shown me the love of exploring the world, this is my Friday Five.  Enjoy the weekend loves.

Word: Dreams

What is keeping you from achieving your dreams?

Time.  There just never seems to be enough hours in the day to get accomplished what I would like too.  Of course I do a fantastic job of taking on too much.  I am so talented at this that I just add things to my life without anyone's help.  Like today when I balance my family, work, blogging, and training for my marathon plus finding time for fun.  Being that I am highly driven having all of this keeps my sanity in check.  Chaosis can be fun.  So of course, if I had more time I would just contemplate more dreams and build more mountains for me to conquer.
